Female Chamber Choir MUUSAD Christmas Concert ” Christmas in Our Hearts)” creates a truly warm holiday atmosphere, weaving exciting choral works by composers from various countries with both beloved and new Christmas melodies.
The program features music by Gustav Holst, Arvo Pärt, Pärt Uusberg, Tõnu Kõrvits, as well as an original work by the choir’s conductor, Ode Pürg. Come and enjoy the shimmering, rich sound of a women’s choir and soak up the holiday atmosphere!
Female Chamber Choir MUUSAD is a choir founded in 2019, united by love for all kinds of choral music. The choir grew out of the Musamari Choir School’s girls’ choir, and many singers have performed together since childhood. Muusad’s mission is to bring rare and beautiful women’s choir music to audiences in Estonia and to create bold and varied concert experiences. Past highlights include lesser-known works by Brahms and the 2024 concert “Lauliku kroonimine” with orchestra and folk dancers. Despite being young, the choir has already earned recognition: Varna International Choir Competition 2025 – 2nd place, chamber choir category; Estonian Chamber Choir Festival – 2nd place, A category; International Baltic Sea Choir Competition – 3rd place; Tallinn 2023 International Choir Competition – 1st place, women’s and mixed choirs category. Muusad has also collaborated with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and guest conductors, performing both classical and contemporary music.
