Estonian Radio Girls’ Choir consists of 30 girls at the age of 13-18. Choir’s repertoire ranges from medieval music to contemporary works, folk programs with choreography and pop-jazz music. Girls have toured both in Estonia and abroad: Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, UK and USA. Since 2007 they have participated in all Estonian Song Celebrations.
The Estonian Radio Children’s Choir brings together 25 talented girls aged 10–14 from various schools in Tallinn and nearby areas. Many of these young singers also study instruments in music schools. Over the years, the choir has toured extensively, performing not only in Estonia but also in countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, and the USA. Since 2007, they have proudly taken part in every Estonian Song Celebration.
The choir’s repertoire is impressively diverse — from medieval pieces and contemporary works to folk programs with choreography and even pop-jazz music. They regularly collaborate with professional concert agencies such as Eesti Kontsert, Viru Folk, and Jazzkaar, bringing high-quality performances to a wide audience.
A key mission of the Estonian Radio choirs is to record children’s and youth music by Estonian composers. To date, they have released 18 CDs under the Estonian Public Broadcast label, helping preserve and promote Estonian musical heritage for younger generations.
Recent highlights include a performance at Bonner SchumannFest in 2024 featuring children’s music by Arvo Pärt, participation in EUROPA CANTAT Junior in Ghent (2023), and an appearance at the Jeunes Voix Mêlées festival in France (2022). In the same year, they also earned 1st prize cum laude at the Estonian Children’s Choirs’ Competition.
