The Proceedings of the Art Museum of Estonia invites proposals for papers for the 2025 issue
The Proceedings of the Art Museum of Estonia invites proposals (one to two pages) for papers for the 2025 issue by 1 June 2024.
We welcome papers on general issues in museology, as well as those more specifically focused on a particular field of art, or the study, conservation and exhibition of artworks, which will contribute to the survey of and give better insight into the collections, history and mission of the Art Museum of Estonia.
We also welcome shorter contributions on topical museum-related issues and reviews of exhibitions, conferences, research and collaborative projects.
The journal’s Editorial Board will decide on whether or not to accept submitted proposals by 20 June 2024 at the latest.
The manuscripts of the papers should be submitted by 15 December 2024. The maximum length of a paper is 20,000 – 40,000 characters, including spaces. The papers are subject to a peer review process and will be published if deemed acceptable. Shorter contributions (max. 10,000 characters, including spaces) will not be peer-reviewed.

The Proceedings of the Art Museum of Estonia is an annual peer-reviewed scientific journal. The journal publishes original research in the fields of art and museology, as well as texts concerning conferences and exhibitions held at museums. The journal is illustrated and bilingual, with all of the papers published in Estonian and English. The journal has an international editorial board.
