European Day of Languages. Estonian Art (In Swedish)
Guided tour in Swedish in the Niguliste Museum: the permanent exhibition. The guided tour in Swedish, led by Merike Kurisoo, the museum’s director and an art historian, will introduce masterpieces of Estonian medieval and early modern ecclesiastical art.
European Day of Languages
26 September is the European Day of Languages. To celebrate Europe’s linguistic diversity we offer the special programme “Introducing Estonian Art in European Languages”, which introduces Estonian cultural heritage in six different European languages. Guided tours in Swedish, Hungarian, Portuguese, Spanish, Estonian and English will be carried out by the Art Museum’s curators on 24 September and 25 September in the Niguliste Museum and the Adamson-Eric Museum. The tours will introduce Estonian art from the Middle Ages to modern times and provide fascinating insights into Estonian cultural history.
The tours last approximately 30–40 minutes and are included with museum admission.
No prior registration is required, but we recommend arriving a few minutes early. The meeting point is in the cloakroom near the museum shop.
