Festival Afekt. Scenes and verses. Track3
Track3
Taavi Orro clarinet, Elijah Spies viola, Shan-Chi Hsu piano
“Scenes and verses” is a collection of six works, alternating between energetic conversational episodes and expansive soundscapes. At the heart of the programme is one of the most famous works of the clarinet/viola/piano trio repertoire; despite its brevity, Kurtág’s “Hommage à R. Sch” is a tour de force of emotional depth and range, beginning with a depiction of dancers’ pirouettes and ending with a sombre funeral march. Track3 concludes their programme with two world premieres, both of which explore unique sonic blends and are full of dramatic surprises.
