Welcome tour. Guided tour of the Niguliste museum permanent exhibition

A guided tour of the Niguliste permanent exhibition takes place on the last Friday of each month. The event is held in English.

The collection of the Niguliste Museum, located in Tallinn’s Old Town, represents the most remarkable and valuable part of Estonia’s medieval and early modern church art. The stars of the collection include late medieval altarpieces from northern Germany and the Netherlands, as well as Bernt Notke’s monumental late-15th-century painting Danse Macabre. A particularly valuable section of the collection is the Silver Chamber, displaying silverware from churches, guilds, and the Brotherhood of Black Heads from the 16th to the 20th century.

Welcome Tour is a series of English-language guided tours at the Art Museum of Estonia’s two Old Town branches, Adamson-Eric Museum and Niguliste Museum. Led by museum professionals, the tours introduce Estonian cultural heritage and temporary exhibitions, from medieval art to contemporary art.

Free of charge for Tallinn Card holders.
Participation is free of charge with an annual pass to the Art Museum of Estonia.
