The working week on the research project “Michel Sittow in the North?” in Bollnäs Church in Sweden was brought to a conclusion by a seminar and a press day on 30. September.

The opening speech of the event was given by Karin Johanneson, the Bishop of Uppsala.  Short presentations were delivered by Greta Koppel, Merike Kurisoo, Jan Friedrich Richter, Tarmo Saaret, Lars Nylander, Peter Gillgren, et al. A mass at Bollnäs Church, conducted by the Bishop of Uppsala Karin Johannesson and the minister of Bollnäs Church Ingrid Augrell concluded the day.  Throughout the entire week Andres Uueni and Hembo Pagi carried out research in the church using imaging technology. The research on the Bolllnäs altarpiece was of great interest to the local community: the project and the first findings were introduced to them on the day of the seminar.  A series of evening lectures pertaining to the project took place at the initiative of the Hudiksvall Museum. The week filled with intriguing research was also covered by the Swedish National Television SVT.
